gone swatching: fenty beauty Mattemoiselle lipsticks

Blog, Gone swatching

Ciao!

I’ve been following all of the new Fenty Beauty releases, but thus far there hasn’t been anything I’ve wanted to try myself. I talked about my opinions on the products that had come out thus far in this post on the Galaxy palette.

I do want to mention that just because those products don’t work for me, doesn’t mean I don’t like them. The famous foundation would be terrible for my (mostly) dry skin, but I couldn’t support the shade range more.

But these lipsticks? These work for me. I love lipsticks and really don’t need any excuses to buy more than I have, but I think I’m in love with them.

Let’s check out some swatches!

Gone swatching: bite beauty prismatic pearl multisticks

Blog, Gone swatching

Ciao!

I love bite beauty. You can see all my posts on them here, the Amuse Bouche lipsticks made it into my top list of lipsticks, and the matte multisticks made it into my December favorites!

But these multisticks?

These aren’t great.

I feel bad writing a negative bite beauty post because I really like their products, but I honestly can’t comprehend how these made it past testing. Clearly they were designed for editorial makeup, but they don’t seem good enough for even that.

The highlighter market is so oversaturated at this point, so if a company wants to release something new it should be both high quality and innovative. I can’t really call this innovative because it’s basically creamy glitter.

Overall, I think this is a really bad release. I was so excited because I really love the matte formula, but was disappointed overall.

Ciao!

This month I received a bunch of new products, mainly for the holidays. I’ve been really happy with all of the new things!

Most of these are either for the lips or the face, a nice change of pace from last month’s eye heavy favorites post. This post also includes my first ever nail favorites! Keep reading to see what I loved this month.
