gone swatching: fenty beauty Mattemoiselle lipsticks

Blog, Gone swatching

Ciao!

I’ve been following all of the new Fenty Beauty releases, but thus far there hasn’t been anything I’ve wanted to try myself. I talked about my opinions on the products that had come out thus far in this post on the Galaxy palette.

I do want to mention that just because those products don’t work for me, doesn’t mean I don’t like them. The famous foundation would be terrible for my (mostly) dry skin, but I couldn’t support the shade range more.

But these lipsticks? These work for me. I love lipsticks and really don’t need any excuses to buy more than I have, but I think I’m in love with them.

Let’s check out some swatches!

Gone swatching: bite beauty prismatic pearl multisticks

Blog, Gone swatching

Ciao!

I love bite beauty. You can see all my posts on them here, the Amuse Bouche lipsticks made it into my top list of lipsticks, and the matte multisticks made it into my December favorites!

But these multisticks?

These aren’t great.

I feel bad writing a negative bite beauty post because I really like their products, but I honestly can’t comprehend how these made it past testing. Clearly they were designed for editorial makeup, but they don’t seem good enough for even that.

The highlighter market is so oversaturated at this point, so if a company wants to release something new it should be both high quality and innovative. I can’t really call this innovative because it’s basically creamy glitter.

Overall, I think this is a really bad release. I was so excited because I really love the matte formula, but was disappointed overall.

Ciao!

This month I received a bunch of new products, mainly for the holidays. I’ve been really happy with all of the new things!

Most of these are either for the lips or the face, a nice change of pace from last month’s eye heavy favorites post. This post also includes my first ever nail favorites! Keep reading to see what I loved this month.

Best of 2017: face

Blog, Favorites

Ciao!

So I’ve decided to break this year’s favorites into five parts: best of 2017 face, eyes, lips, skincare and worst of 2017. First up are my favorites for the face!

I’ve tested out so many products this year that it’s really hard to write this post, both because I was introduced to many great products, and there are stunning products that I didn’t use for the full year. Keep reading to see all the stuff I loved this year for my face!

Gone swatching: too faced white chocolate bar

Blog, Gone swatching

Ciao!

So Too Faced has recently launched two new palettes from their popular chocolate bar line: the white Chocolate Bar palette, aimed at lighter skin tones, and the Chocolate Gold palette, aimed at deeper skin tones. This post will be focusing on the white chocolate palette.

Recently, Too Faced has been releasing many products, and not many of those products have received positive reviews. That made me all the more interested to test these out in store, because that’s the only way I can really test for the quality myself.

I’ve been happy with my Peachy Mattes palette, which is the only Too Faced palette I own, so let’s see how these two compare!

Gone swatching: RMS wild with desire lipsticks

Blog, Gone swatching

Ciao!

So Anthropolgie has a killer natural beauty section (and the store near me has recently revamped it) so I have a ton of natural beauty swatches to share.

As you know, between my raving about the un-cover up (I wear shade 00) and the living luminizer, I’m a fan of RMS, a brand that specialized in simple makeup with natural ingredients. So imagine my excitement when I found out RMS was launching lipsticks! I’m a huge lipstick fan, so I was so excited to try them out, as well as one lip liner.

Glossier, Colourpop, Sephora Haul

Blog, Hauls

Ciao!

So this post is long overdue, mostly because none of my packages arrived at the same time. Essentially, these are just my purchases from November. Because I’ve been using all of them for a week (at the least) this will be a haul with my current opinions of the product!

I placed orders from Sephora during their VIB sale, Colourpop during their buy one get one free eyeshadow sale, and Glossier…right before a sale (because I didn’t think ahead).

Let’s go!

November favorites

Blog, Favorites

Ciao!

This post is so, so, late, but here are my favorites for November!

I got really into purple eyeshadow this month, inspired by the Kylie Cosmetics purple palette. Right now I’m not interested in purchasing from that company, but it did make me realize how much I really like purple eyeshadows. That lead to a purchase from Colourpop during their buy one get one free sale of a couple pressed powder shadows.

I also fell in love with deep mauve lipsticks and basically lived in them the whole month.

Holiday gift guide: warm eyeshadow

Blog, The Bella Edit

Ciao!

This season, warm eyeshadow has been the hottest item (pun intended) in the makeup world. This look has completely exploded, meaning there are so many different shades to choose from.

On this list, I’ll have an affordable one, a mini one, the original one, the popular one, the matte one, and theย otherย one.

Also, bare in mind that there are many different types of warm eyeshadow.

  1. Bold, warm shades such as red, orange, and yellow.
  2. True warm shades, featuring lots of warm brown.
  3. Warm reds and pinks

I’ve tried to put in at least one of each type on this list.

Let’s check it out!
