Ciao! In this episode of gone swatching, I’ll be showing swatches of the Essence Matt Matt Matt lipsticks.
I’d heard many beauty bloggers talking about these lipsticks, so I headed to the drugstore to check them out myself.
Upon first glance, I thought none of the colors would work for me (an issue I had here) but after swatching them, I’m thinking of buying one.
Here’s the first half of the line (the nudes and pinks). Natural Kiss is probably too light and orange toned for me, however I’m sure some warmed toned (or paler) girls will like it. Perfect match– is well a perfect match (for me at least). I love this kind of rosy nude and I have way too many lipsticks that look exactly like it. I still want it though! Next is wow effect, which reminds me of the shade ZZ from the Urban Decay vice lipstick line. It’s got the perfect amount of pink and purple to create the ultimate shade. Last in this section is pink up your life which is a blue toned pink I absolutely love. I don’t wear bold or bright colors out of the house often, but I love wearing them on days I’m relaxing at home. I’ll put on no makeup (not even mascara) and swipe on a fuchsia lipstick. Perfect!
Red-y or not is pretty red while Kiss me if you can is an amped up version of the same color (yes please!). Purple power is basically wow effect times two and It’s a statement is a vampy blackish purple.
Overall, I highly recommend these. The formula is great and the colors are amazing! And for such a cheap price, well you really can’t beat it.
