This was my first ever cleanser. Of course, I loved it when I first got it, but the real miracle is that I still really like it two years later. There’s not many things that I can officially say I’ve liked for over a year or for over two years, simply because my taste in makeup has changed so much.
Two years ago, my daily makeup included a shockingly white eyeshadow swiped all over the lid, a highlighter brushed onto my cheekbones and my temples, a clumpy brown mascara, and lip balm. Now, I don’t like or use all of those products and have removed them from my collection, keeping them only for sentimental reasons (except the mascara).
This is the best makeup remover I’ve ever used. I really don’t like using makeup wipes (unless I’m going to be traveling) because I think it’s wasteful to use a ton of prepackaged wipes. As someone who runs a beauty blog, I am doing a lot of swatches for this blog- whether they be face swatches or hand swatches. This gets everything off my face and hand, even things like long wearing lipstick and eyeliner.
The best part is the formula. It’s an oil, but I never feel like it clogs my pores. It cleans my face, but doesn’t strip the natural oils from the skin and leaves my skin looking radiant. For a natural exfoliant, I use this in conjunction with the Konjac Face Sponge which makes my skin incredibly soft. Finish off with the Boost Your Radiance oil for a beautiful glowy look!
As you can tell from the photo above, the oil is incredibly liquid. This means that when you apply it, your makeup will smear around your face, especially if you’re wearing dark or bright colors.
Overall, I really love this! It’s my favorite makeup remover of all time, and at $28 it’s 1/3 of the price of the Pai Cleanser (review here). If $28 still sounds like a lot to you, you can buy a travel size version of this and get a Konjac Sponge for $19. I included the link below for that!
