July Favorites

Blog, Favorites

When I went to organize the products for this post, it literally took me five seconds. All of these products I’ve been using non stop throughout July and I’ve loved them. A few are new to me and I’ve recently got in the last month and the rest are products I’ve had sitting in my collection and have only started to use them this month.

Keep reading to find out what I’ve been loving this month!

1. Benefit Hoola bronzer

I’m going to be honest here. I hated the Hoola bronzer when I first bought it. And for the several months that followed, it sat unused in my collection. This month I was trying to declutter my collection and this was first to be placed on the chopping block.

I didn’t want to let it go, so I started using it to show myself that it was a good product and maybe I just wasn’t using it right. That thought process is almost never true (see this post) but in this case it was. I had been trying to do a real contour with this, which just didn’t work because of the warm undertones. However, this looked beautiful when I brushed it over my temples and gently into the hollows of my cheekbones with a fluffy brush.

I now love this, just not for contour. I’ve been using it almost every time I’ve worn bronzer and I’m starting to make quite the dent in the pan!

2. Glossier Boy Brow in brown

I debated whether to put this in a post because it’s so new, but I already know I love it. I bought this in New York at Glossier headquarters and I’ve been using it every day (sometimes in conjunction with this brown pencil). This thickens my brows slightly and holds them in place all day. The wand is small and super easy to use and the color is a perfect shade match for me (view other shades here). If you’re interested in buying this, I have a link here for 10% off your first purchase.

3. Kiko Milano Wet and Dry shadow in 46

I’ve only had this for a month, but this shadow has quickly become one of my all time favorite eyeshadows. The color is very similar to Urban Decay nooner (see a full post on that here) and the formula is gorgeous. It blends like a dream and it’s super buildable. I’ve been wearing this in practically every eye look because of how easy it is to wear!

This is a single shadow, which is great for travel and it can be depotted by popping it out of the container. It’s magnetic, so it can be put in a z-palette or other type of custom palette! If you wish to keep it in the container, that’s also high quality with a magnetic closure and a clear cap.

This cost $9, but is currently on sale for $5.90. Shop it now here!

4. Julep It’s Whipped in amore

I love this lipstick and have now mentioned it in so many posts. I listed this as one of my favorite lipsticks of all time here, and as one of my favorite bold lipsticks for summer here. I adore this color. It’s so shocking and pink and it instantly makes my face look brighter. The packaging is heavy and luxurious and the applicator is unique and unlike any other liquid lipstick I’ve tried. The formula is smooth and moussy and just feels light on the lips.

I really can’t recommend this more!

5. Tarte Amazonian clay blush in paaarty

Like the Hoola bronzer, this had simply gotten lost in my collection. As I started to go through my makeup I realized I hadn’t used this that much. I decided to save this because it was so small and I loved it for travel. This is such a natural shade that gives me a subtle flush to my cheeks that is simply beautiful. I recently reviewed this and swatched it here. This comes free for all beauty insiders on their birthday and I definitely recommend you pick this up.

That’s all for what I’ve been loving this month! Look below to shop my favorites.

Ciao bella!

The lipstick is quite drying, but the color is lovely. The real winner of that set is the blush though.
