Glossier, Colourpop, Sephora Haul

Blog, Hauls

Ciao!

So this post is long overdue, mostly because none of my packages arrived at the same time. Essentially, these are just my purchases from November. Because I’ve been using all of them for a week (at the least) this will be a haul with my current opinions of the product!

I placed orders from Sephora during their VIB sale, Colourpop during their buy one get one free eyeshadow sale, and Glossier…right before a sale (because I didn’t think ahead).

Let’s go!

November favorites

Blog, Favorites

Ciao!

This post is so, so, late, but here are my favorites for November!

I got really into purple eyeshadow this month, inspired by the Kylie Cosmetics purple palette. Right now I’m not interested in purchasing from that company, but it did make me realize how much I really like purple eyeshadows. That lead to a purchase from Colourpop during their buy one get one free sale of a couple pressed powder shadows.

I also fell in love with deep mauve lipsticks and basically lived in them the whole month.

My top picks for fall makeup

Blog, The Bella Edit

Ciao!

Things I love about fall (in order):

  • Pumpkins
  • Dark matte lipstick
  • Pumpkins
  • Sweaters and boots
  • Pumpkins
  • Copper eyeshadow
  • Pumpkins

Clockwise from left: Colourpop yes please palette, Tarte matte lip paint in bestie, Julep feels like velvet duo in cinnamon and spice, Charlotte Tilbury matte revolution in very victoria, Winky Lux double matte whip liquid lipstick in shortcake.

Jokes aside, fall is probably my favorite season for makeup. All of the looks people create draw from the changing leaves and amber scenery and I find they’re much more creative in general.

This list is entirely lipstick and eyeshadow, because that’s what I think of as distinctly fall makeup. Here’s everything I’ve been loving to wear this fall!

Disclaimer: no lipsticks or eyeshadow where harmed by falling off of/into pumpkins in the making of this post.

E.L.F. blush palette in light review

Makeup Reviews, Reviews

Ciao!

I don’t consider E.L.F. to be a hyped brand like Morphe or Sigma, but it’s definitely well liked and very talked about in the beauty sphere. I’d heard a lot about this palette specifically on social media, and decided to pick it up while at my local drugstore.

Did I need more blush? No.

Was it only $6? Yes.

Into my cart it went.

E.L.F. has always seemed like a different type of drugstore brand. Their products are incredibly affordable, bested only by Wet ‘n wild. I mean, at $6, I might as well be paying for the full mirror (which is way bigger than the one that comes with Benefit Hoola and that’s 5x the price)!

Unlike most drugstore brands (I’m looking at you Milani), E.L.F. has incredibly sleek packaging. Most of it is their signature matte black, featured in this palette, but I’ve noticed how they’ve began to introduce a more high end reflective packaging.

So it’s clear that E.L.F. has a strong following for both it’s affordable prices, mostly good quality and sleek packaging.

But I was still a little skeptical. Does this palette reflect it’s price, or does it compare to those sold at Sephora and other high end stores?

July Favorites

Blog, Favorites

Ciao!

When I went to organize the products for this post, it literally took me five seconds. All of these products I’ve been using non stop throughout July and I’ve loved them. A few are new to me and I’ve recently got in the last month and the rest are products I’ve had sitting in my collection and have only started to use them this month.

Kiko Milano Mini Divas baked eyeshadow review

Makeup Reviews, Reviews

Ciao!

I recently did a whole post on the Kiko Milano mini divas collection here, and I didn’t have a lot of positive takeaways. The short reason is that I felt the entire collection as a whole was overpriced for what it was, especially this eyeshadow, and you can read that post for my explanation as to why.

So you might be thinking this:

“Okay, it’s overpriced. So what? It’s a capsule collection, of course it’ll be more expensive. Why shouldn’t I get this anyways?”

Here’s why: the quality is clearly lacking in this eyeshadow. Don’t make the same mistake as me.
