November favorites

Blog, Favorites

Ciao!

This post is so, so, late, but here are my favorites for November!

I got really into purple eyeshadow this month, inspired by the Kylie Cosmetics purple palette. Right now I’m not interested in purchasing from that company, but it did make me realize how much I really like purple eyeshadows. That lead to a purchase from Colourpop during their buy one get one free sale of a couple pressed powder shadows.

I also fell in love with deep mauve lipsticks and basically lived in them the whole month.

Gone swatching: Huda beauty desert dusk palette

Blog, Gone swatching

Ciao!

This gone swatching post is a little different, mainly because I took the photos in my house, with my backdrop, of a nearly untouched palette, I just didn’t own.

For this, I thank Melissa Korn, the amazing makeup artist, who let me borrow some of her palettes to swatch and play with them for my blog. Thank you!

I wasn’t that interested in this palette, until I watched it and saw how beautiful the shimmery and duo chrome shades are. Now, I’m attempting to convince myself I don’t need it.

Key word: attempting.

Read on for swatches and more pictures of this beautiful palette!

Luckily, most of the makeup is affordable ($20 or less), which is great because I’m not willing to spend a ton of money on blue eyeshadows I likely won’t wear again.Β In fact, the only items I ordered specifically for this look were from Colourpop.

So keep reading to learn how to get this beautiful mermaid look!

Gone swatching: bite beauty nearly neons collection

Blog, Gone swatching

Ciao!

Bite beauty has finally created the antithesis to their popular Edgy Neutrals lipstick line. Both lines are using their amazing amuse bouche formula that I’ve raved about here and here. It’s creaming, long wearing, and super pigmented.

I was thrilled when I saw on their Instagram that Bite Beauty launched this collection of vibrant neons. By the way, there’s nothing “nearly neon” about this. These are pure neon lipsticks.

It’s amazing when brands launch collections featuring unconventional colors and more interesting shades then your average line of boring nude lipsticks. While I’m not planning on buying any of these lipsticks because (for now) purple lipstick isn’t something I wear, I think this collection is perfect for people who love colorful lipsticks.
