Ciao, and welcome to the matchup, where I’ll be matching similar products. A note: this is not a dupes section, this is simply a place to find things that go well together, such as a matching blush and lipstick.
For this post, I’ve found the ingredients for the ultimate mauve lip:
- A lip liner
- A matte liquid lipstick
- A lip gloss
All matching in color.
For this look, I’ll be using the E.L.F. matte lip crayon (really more of a lip pencil) in the shade tea rose to outline my lips. Then I’ll fill them in with the Too Faced melted matte lipstick in the shade Queen B. Finally, I’ll top it off with the Julep lip gloss in the shade Charming.
I love all three of these products. The E.L.F crayon is surprisingly comfortable, unlike other lip pencils I’ve tried. The Too Faced melted matte is a gorgeous color and it’s super long wearing. Finally, the Julep lip glosses are some of my favorite glosses ever. They’re so hydrating and make my lips look wonderful.
As you can see, the lip pencil and the liquid lipstick are perfect matches. Charming is a little warmer of a color, but it goes nicely. The real lip gloss match for this is alluring from the julep lip gloss menagerie, however that’s limited edition and I wanted to make sure everything in here was available for purchase.
First step- outline the lips using the E.L.F. lip crayon.
Then apply the Too Faced melted matte lipstick over top of the crayon and let it dry.
Finally, put on the Julep lip gloss over top for a shimmery top.
